About the role:We are seeking a Casual Kaiako (tutor) to deliver our KawaiRaupapa – Certificate in Maori & Indigenous Arts programme, which involves but is not limited to: developing lesson plans,presenting material to tauira (students), responding to tauira learning needs,and evaluating tauira progress. Some flexibility may be required to work some weekendsand eveningsAbout you:The Kaiako (tutor)will have sound knowledge and teaching experience within the toi Maori - Rauangi field to deliver our Kawai Raupapa programme. You will needto have the ability to facilitate application of principle and theory intocontextualised practice, apply tikanga Maori appropriate to toi Maori - Rauangi , and be a critical, conceptual and self-reflective practitioner.Ideally, applicants will have:Te Maunga Kura Toi - Bachelor degree inMaori Art or similar, with a focus on RauangiNZCertificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching Level 5 (NZCATT) or equivalent, or bewilling to complete in the first year of employmentFull NZ Driver LicenseExperience:Proven experience in a related roleAdult teaching experienceWhilst teaching experience is highly valued at TWoA, newly qualifiedKaiako with relevant qualifications but with no or limited previous teachingexperience will also be considered.AhuatangaMaori:Able to understand and converse in te reoMaori at an intermediate levelEngages in culturalactivities ( Karakia, Powhiri/Whakatau) and has a sound understanding of AhuatangaMaori (values, culture and tikanga)Embraces a Maoriworld view underpinned by TWoA values of Te Aroha, Te Whakapono, Nga Ture andKotahitanga and can actively apply TWoA values in the workplace If we've outlined a role that matches your skillsand capabilities and a work environment that appeals, apply today!
