Blenheim Mart is now operating in Blenheim, New Zealand. We are currently looking for 2 full time Cashiers to meet our business operational requirements.  We prefer the candidate: Excellent communication skills Excellent customer service skills Adaptable to change and able to do multiple tasks by cooperating with team members Able to work under pressure Must accept flexible hours of work to work on weekends to cope with heavy workload on weekends Physically fit to stand for long periods of time while checking out customers Relevant working experience is preferable NZ residence or a valid work visa is required Duties and responsibilities: Answer any questions customers may have, requires in depth knowledge of th various in tore items. Check for ID on certain items such as cigarettes. Scanning items, weighing and bagging during the check out process. Price check, handle payments (cash, debit, credit cards or other way of payment) Give back correct change, receipts, refunds (1Issuing sales dockets and giving change Maintain a record of transactions, counting and recording money received and balancing against register sales records, and preparing money for deposit; Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area.
