The Role The Cash team are responsible for keeping Jarden safe, managing our money well, whilst supporting our customers and other teams to deliver a consistent standard, every day.
The role will involve liaising with a variety of parties (both internal and external) which include Advisors, Institutional and Retail Trading desks along with a range of external financial institutions.
This is a full time, fixed-term position for a period of 12 months.
Key responsibilities could include: Investigating settlement discrepancies with internal and external parties. Foreign exchange settlement. New Zealand and foreign currency payments. Settlement lifecycle processes. Identifying areas of improvement. Bank Reconciliations. Adhering to and complying with audit and compliance requirements. Assisting with other roles in the Operations team as required. About You
Ideally you will have a relevant degree in finance, commerce or accounting or 1-3 years' experience in settlements or a similar role and a keen interest in the Financial Markets. The following skills and experience will also set you apart :
You will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal and be comfortable liaising with a range of internal and external clients. You will have great attention to detail, never missing a beat. You will possess strong business acumen and sound judgement, able to pick up anomalies. You will be a fast learner, able to pick up new and complicated systems. You will be a great team player and enjoy working with others. You will have a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
