Responsibilities ? studying plans, drawings, and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures. ? taking accurate measurements and calculations to determine the size and materials needed for a project. ? uses tools for cutting, shaping, and smoothing lumber and other materials according to measurements. ? Installing or erecting window frames, doors, staircases, frames and trusses using raw materials or pre-constructed items. ? Installing hardwood floors, subfloors, sidings, cabinets, dry walls, roofing, insulation, exterior wall cladding and bracing systems. ? May do formwork, concrete laying, and steel tying. ? General carpentry work. Requirements and Skills ? Must have at least three years of relevant experience. ? Be flexible with work hours, including work during weekends. ? Proficiency in using electrical and hand tools and measurement tools. ? Knowledge of safe work practices and health and safety regulations. ? Able to work and communicate well with others. ? Willing to submit background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations. This is a full-time permanent role, and the hourly pay rate is $29.66. The work hours are 40 hours minimum to 50 hours maximum per week, and they are to be worked between Monday and Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. You may be required to work on weekends.
