About the opportunity As the Capital Projects and Asset Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of the Council's significant 3 Waters Capital Projects and Asset Management Plans to meet regulatory standards. Your role will involve managing various aspects including Capital Projects, Asset Management, and other managerial duties. Reporting to the General Manager – Critical Services, you will play a key role in contributing to the efficient and reliable provision of essential services to the community.
As the Capital Projects and Asset Manager, you will (including other things):
Take charge of managing the councils crucial 3 Waters Capital Projects and Asset Management Plans, ensuring they meet and exceed the highest standards.Oversee every aspect of Capital Projects, from estimating and designing to contracting and service administration, shaping the infrastructure that supports our water systems.Engage stakeholders at every turn, keeping them informed and involved as projects progress, ensuring their voices are heard throughout the journey.Navigate the financial waters, monitoring budgets and expenditures to ensure each project stays on course for successful delivery.Provide reports to the Council, weaving together the narrative of each project's journey and gathering valuable input from stakeholders to guide decision making.Develop, implement, and review activity management plans, utilising financial auditing, and valuation tools to ensure the sustainability and resilience of our infrastructure for future generations.  Take charge of managing the councils crucial 3 Waters Capital Projects and Asset Management Plans, ensuring they meet and exceed the highest standards.Oversee every aspect of Capital Projects, from estimating and designing to contracting and service administration, shaping the infrastructure that supports our water systems.Engage stakeholders at every turn, keeping them informed and involved as projects progress, ensuring their voices are heard throughout the journey.Navigate the financial waters, monitoring budgets and expenditures to ensure each project stays on course for successful delivery.Provide reports to the Council, weaving together the narrative of each project's journey and gathering valuable input from stakeholders to guide decision making.Develop, implement, and review activity management plans, utilising financial auditing, and valuation tools to ensure the sustainability and resilience of our infrastructure for future generations. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to step up and lead Gore District Council's Capital Projects and Asset Management, driving forward the community's vision for growth and sustainability. As the successfull candidate in the Capital Projects and Asset Manager role you will have a relevant qualification in Engineering, along with extensive extensive experience in managing infrastructure projects. Your expertise in design for 3 waters infrastructure will ensure your capability for strong technical leadership. With adaptability to dynamic work environments, sound decision-making under pressure, and unwavering commitment to health and safety practices, you will impress as an up-and-coming organisational leader Strong interpersonal skills, organisational acumen, and the ability to lead and motivate will set you apart as the next Capital Projects and Asset Manager.
