We currently have an opportunity for a full-time permanent Capital Asset Manager within Finance & Property team based at our Raumanga campus in Whangarei. Reporting to the Regional Property Manager, this role is responsible for NorthTec's current and future assets, facilities and property. Reporting to this role is a team of facilities staff who are responsible for ongoing facilities and property maintenance and minor projects supporting campuses in Whangarei, Dargaville, Kaitaia, Kaikohe and other remote sites. Primary Responsibilities Maintain capital asset plans for all of NorthTec's major assets, including internal and external reporting Ensure all NorthTec buildings are compliant, have current BWoF and fit for purpose Project manage facilities and property development activities, including Campus Master Plan major projects and department projects Facilities management including leadership of maintenance team, fleet vehicles, building leases, record keeping, opex and capex budget management Skills and Experience In depth knowledge and experience of capital asset planning and management Proven project management ability Experienced facilities management and leadership Experience in writing facilities business cases, reports, returns and assessments Ability to provide financial analyses and projections such as student numbers and future programs Knowledge of TEC and government (eg GETS) processes Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Calm under pressure Well organised Able to regularly roll sleeves up and work hands on If you feel you have the attributes required to successfully fill this position, we look forward to hearing from you.
