Te tIma | The teamThe Parliamentary Catering Team is dedicated to showcasing New Zealand's premium hospitality services & products; and delivering memorable experiences at Parliament. The team manages several food and beverage venues within the Parliamentary precinct; each offering a different and unique experience; these include the Copperfields café, Pickwick's bar, and New Zealand's fine dining cuisine restaurant - Bellamys by Logan Brown. A further function of the team is providing catering and hospitality services for the numerous functions that are held on the Parliamentary precinct.We're looking for a hard-working Cafe All-Rounder to work within our dynamic and supportive Copperfields Cafe. We're based on the first floor of the Beehive where we service a range of customers including senior public officials, overseas dignitaries, parliamentary staff and members of the public. We operate 5 days a week and you'll be joining an exciting environment where no two days will be the same. Some of the tasks that you'll be responsible for include: Delivering exceptional customer service every-timeTaking orders at the till, serving food, restocking cabinets, plating foodAssisting customers with any requestsShowing a commitment to high food and beverage hygiene standards and following our best practice guidelinesSupporting our colleagues within the wider catering group when neededPlease note that we experience busier times when Parliament is sitting which is usually for 2-3 weeks and then we experience quieter times for around 2 weeks. Due to this, this role is full-time during busy weeks and part-time during less busy weeks. The appointing salary range for this role is from $54,993 per annum.
