Job Summary

: As a member of the Purchasing Team, the Buyeris responsible for the timely and cost effective sourcing of the raw materials,finished goods, packaging and other supplies and services required for SensientNew Zealand to meet customer requirements.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Managing suppliers and raw materials assignedwhich includes:
Negotiation of contracts for materials and/orservices.
Performing analysis and evaluations ofalternative supply and cost benefits associated.
Coordination with suppliers concerning supplyexceptions, complaint resolution, billing errors, return of rejected orobsolete materials, etc.
Expediting of open orders with suppliers to meetproduction schedules and customer expectations.
Coordination with freight forwarders for supplyof overseas materials.
Coordination with suppliers for requiredregulatory documentation to maintain supplier qualification.
Manages MRP settings to ensure optimal leadtimes and inventory levels, and to minimize redundant inventory.
Completesreceipting and costing of goods.
Performsother duties that may be assigned to or required of the job.
Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/equivalent work experience at a professional level required.
Knowledge of accounting, traffic and inventorycontrol.
Previous experience in procurement preferred.
Experience with JD Edwards Enterprise Oneexperience preferred.
Skills & Abilities:Strong communication skills.
