We are looking for a Business Growth Advisor to join the Hawke's Bay Regional Business Partner (RBP) team. About the role: As a Business Growth Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in helping SMEs thrive and grow. You will provide a holistic view of their business, offering information, advice, services, and funding for training to address their unique needs. Your mission is to assist SMEs with the aspiration, commitment, and potential to innovate and expand. You'll be working 28 hours per week in our beautiful office in Hastings. Key Responsibilities: Meet with Business Owners to discuss their needs and priorities, then connect them with various support agencies and service providers who can help fill their skill gaps. Offer sound information and facilitate access to capability development options. Determine eligibility for capability development funding and oversee its allocation, monitoring outcomes with the customer. Collaborate with Callaghan Innovation and the wider Hawke's Bay Chamber of Commerce team where necessary. Monitor customer engagement and funding allocation, contributing to reporting as needed. Build relationships with registered capability development service providers. Support the HBCoC team with tasks that drive the wider organisation strategy and values. About you: Proven ability to prioritise a client-focused approach and establish strong rapport. Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to connect with individuals at all organisational levels. An understanding of business, including an understanding of strategic and operational perspectives. A collaborative mindset which will enable you to work closely with stakeholders and support networks across the region. Strong organisational skills and problem-solving ability.
