About the opportunity We're looking for a Business Development Manager for T&G's Transport business. We're industry leaders in refrigerated produce transport with eight depots nationwide and a transport fleet that services all main centres throughout New Zealand.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop new sales opportunities, grow current accounts, and lead transport sales growth in the North Island Collaborate with T&G Fresh's internal teams to ensure grower relationships and seasonal opportunities are maximised Contribute to the development and implementation of T&G Transport's strategic business plan Produce customer, sales, and market analysis, insights, and reporting Identify business opportunities for complementary non-produce lines Reporting to T&G's National Transport Sales Manager, this role is based in Auckland (Wiri) and responsible for a North Island territory, so flexibility is required forregular travel, and a company vehicle forms part of the salary package.
About you We're looking for a highly commercial sales professional with a strong track record of success, ideally in the fresh produce industry. We're also open to considering candidates with sales experiencein transport, freight, and logistics whounderstand the challenges of working with a time-critical, fresh supply chain.
You have a sharp eye for an opportunity and take an analytical, strategic approach to securing new business. You build trusted relationships based on your expertise and track record of delivery, and truly understand your customers' challenges in order to design solutions that enable them to grow their business in partnership with T&G.
