The Business Development Manager - Optics identifies new businesses within a defined geographic territory / industry / broad business / product area focusing on future technologies and creates sales channels to acquire them. The NI -OP Oceania Optical Business Development team is looking for an experienced and customer-focused individual to help grow our optical equipment and service business in New Zealand Drive business initiatives for the Network Infrastructure OPTICS Business center in New Zealand through the following tasks: Actively engage with CSP, Enterprise and other customers, at the working and managerial level, to drive order, sales and margins to achieve and exceed the annual plan. Develop end-to-end solutions that are technically and commercially competitive. Support Nokia Sales Teams and BDM peers in the sales cycle providing timely and high-quality presales and commercial support Proactively identify new business opportunities by anticipating customer needs Build competitive and innovative responses to customer tender. Coordinate the Effort estimation and preparation of product qualifications (e.g. Trial, BMT, Proof of Concept) Contribute to the project schedule definition where appropriate Align and leveraging support from all internal functions (e.g. PM, Finance, Regional PLM, Advanced Tendering) for the achievement of business objectives and priorities Track current and future opportunities Demonstrate thought leadership inside and outside of Nokia Multi-year experience with increasing responsibility in providing Optical equipment and services solution offerings, preferably to New Zealand and/or Australian customers. Detailed knowledge of Nokia Optical portfolio and its planning tool. High level knowledge of Nokia Service offerings and WavePrime portfolio Solid understanding of the industry ecosystem in terms of competitors, relevant players, and their associated strategies. Proven ability to manage multitasking work under constant pressure. Extensive knowledge of Optical market dynamics will be considered a plus.
