As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for achievement of sales and business targets and execution of sales activities to achieve these targets within the Motion business area.Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be covering the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Taranaki and Lower North Island territory. Ideally you will be based in the mid/lower north island this is to ensure you provide excellent service to your customers. With the support of the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing your sales plan to drive sustainable growth and customer satisfaction.
Your responsibilitiesEstablishing and managing sales plans for your region & / or customer listSupporting business initiatives for industry segments and channels, in alignment with local and global strategy.Selling VSD's (Variable Speed Drives), PLCs, Electric Motors, Generators, Power Quality Products, projects and systems as well as related products.Supporting Drives Service team on sales and promotion of after services and service contractsManaging relationships with existing customers within the targeted industry sectors and developing new relationships with potential customers. Identifying opportunities at existing and potential new customers, determining plans for acquisition and proposing sound technical and commercial solutionsIdentifying and developing sales opportunities ensuring a strong opportunity pipelineYour backgroundElectrical or Electronics Engineering qualification, or equivalent experienceProven technical aptitude with a knowledge of industrial processes and applicationsDemonstrated experience in Front-End Sales roles in B2B organisations in Industrial sectorExperience in business development & account managementSome exposure to working with EPCs, End Users, Consultants, System Integrators, Channel Partners and OEMs would be advantageous.Well versed in MS Office application and CRM SystemsBenefitsRetirement planLife insuranceDisability insuranceAccident insuranceFlexible work practicesMore about usABB Motion keeps the world turning, while saving energy every day.
