Building Services and Maintenance Coordinator
Facilities Management
Positioned in the hub of South Auckland, Manukau Institute of Technology prides itself on being a progressive and visionary employer providing high quality education and training within a multicultural environment.
This role is key to building services operations, and the aspects of this role include: Minor capital works, building services maintenance planning, contractor management, financial management, customer service, quality, and health and safety.
This is a full-time role from Monday to Friday. The exact hours will be agreed between yourself and your manager.
We are seeking a customer focused person with an eye for detail to join our highly effective Building and Maintenance team. You will need to have:
A minimum of three (3) years' experience in building services equipment maintenance, or equivalent within facilities, construction or engineering industry.
Trades or tertiary education in Electrical, Mechanical or Buildings Services.
Experience with BMS, HVAC and/or Building Services equipment is highly desirable.
Some Project management skills or background will be a bonus.
Required ability to read and interpret working drawings and plans.
Experience working closely with, and managing contractors within facilities environment.
Some experience working within regulatory guidelines including the NZ Building Code and Building Warrant of Fitness.
Reasonable level of competency with MS Office; Word, Excel, Outlook & Project.
Some knowledge of Health & Safety
Hold and maintain a valid and current vehicle driver's license.
The ideal applicant will be self-directed and goal orientated achieving desired results within tight timeframes; have good interpersonal skills and strong communication (written & verbal) skills, and strong customer focus.
Suitable applicants will be required to complete and pass pre employment checks such as medical and a Police check to be eligible for the role.
