Details of the offer

Are you able to speak British Sign Language? I am working on behalf of a Secondary School in Nelson who are looking to put support in place for 2 pupils in the new academic year. These pupils both speak BSL as their first Language, because of this require support to fully access the secondary curriculum.

This position will initially be full time from September - October half term (pending school re-opening as normal), however the school are anticipating needing the support on a long term basis. The position will eventually be appointed on a permanent basis. The candidate who is successful in September would be a strong consideration for the permanent role.

To be considered for this role you should:

- Be able to speak BSL or hold qualifications in BSL

- Be interested in working in a supportive, successful secondary school

- Be available from September 2020 (ideally full time, however, part time applicants would be considered)

If you feel that you are suitable for this role then get in touch ASAP and speak with Robert Higginbottom. Alternatively, please send an up to date copy of your CV, highlighting your experience supporting BSL, by clicking the ‘Apply Now’ links.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training.
