Marketing Communications (Marketing & Communications) Harness Racing New Zealand exists to work with industry stakeholders to promote and regulate a thriving and positive harness racing industry in NZ. This position will take the lead on the organisation's brand, marketing, sponsorship, merchandise, website, communications and digital strategies, with a particular focus on communications and stakeholder engagement. We require a highly motivated and driven person with proven experience in brand management, marketing and communications, to actively contribute to the achievement of the organisation's strategy and goals. What will you do in this role? Contribute as an active member of the management team Provide overview, leadership and support for the activities of staff reporting to this position Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies aligned with HRNZ's vision, mission, and business objectives Create and implement integrated communications plans to effectively convey HRNZ's key messages to the target audience Develop compelling and engaging content for various channels, including digital platforms, social media, press releases, and internal communications Cultivate relationships with journalists, media outlets, and industry influencers to secure media coverage and enhance brand visibility. Collaborate with internal teams to align brand and communication strategies with industry goals and objectives. Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, notably clubs but also stakeholders and industry associations, to enhance brand efficacy and advocacy What will you need to succeed in this role? Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders Be a team player Ability to balance innovative and creative thinking with critical and objective analysis Strong understanding of brand development, positioning, and management principles Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling and impactful content Proficiency in digital marketing, social media platforms, and content management systems Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights What's on offer for you?
