Connecting people and communities| Driving eCommerce | Moving New Zealand Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Due to internal growth and transformation, we have an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned leader to manage our New Plymouth Branch
This is an exciting opportunity to make your operational excellence mark. Our customers and people are at the heart of all we do. Your safety obsession and outstanding commercial acumen will see you and your team soar to great heights. Reporting to the Regional Manager you will:
Leading the financial performance of the branch (Profit and Loss), managing EBIT by effectively managing costs, analysing variances of actual vs budgets and forecasting.
Ensuring a customer centric approach, partnering with our customers and your sales colleagues to always deliver exceptional service.
Responsibility for the operational planning of people, resources & transport requirements, ensuring the team is set up to achieve business objectives.
Leading, inspiring, and developing capability within the team
Ensuring we are focused on supporting growth, driving efficiency, and aligning our competencies with the scale and complexity of our business and future ambitions.
Managing branch scoreboard KPI's - such as utilisation, claims/damages, Customer DIFOT, Safety, Customer Service.
Lead a safety culture throughout the branch and broader network, taking an active role in ensuring compliance with health & safety policies and legislation.
Support the national Branch and Regional networks to achieve success
To be successful in this role, you will have the following key skills and experience:
Customer and people centric leader
Thought leader with sound commercial acumen
5+ years' experience in a similar leadership position
Proven capability with planning and delivering to that plan
Laser focus on revenue growth
An analytical mind that can interpret data to use in decision making
Cost management focused.
Prior experience working in the transport and freight industry.
Excellent working knowledge of HR/IR practices
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Sound ability to network and build strong working relationships.
Self-motivated; outcome focused
