Branch Librarian - Takaka

This is a fabulous opportunity to lead a small yet dynamic team at the Takaka Memorial Library located in beautiful Golden Bay. This full time position reports to the Libraries Manager based in Richmond and is responsible for leading the management of public library services to the Golden Bay community. In this role, you'll be responsible for customer focused library services that deliver a quality experience to all users, and the leadership and supervision of six staff.

You'll have a recognised library or information science qualification at Level 6 or equivalent, and a minimum of five years public library experience as a qualified librarian. You'll have proven leadership, staff management and mentoring skills. You'll demonstrate a commitment to looking at ways of improving the library's services and providing excellent customer service, have enthusiasm for and wide knowledge of books, and be confident in working with a wide range of people.
