We are seeking a skilled bookkeeper to join our team and take responsibility for maintaining an efficient and accurate accounting function for our busy rest home in Auckland.   Responsibilities:   ·         Produce invoices, prepare journals, verify any refunds and report discrepancies to management ·         Produce purchase orders, verify accuracy of various invoices and make the correct payments ·         Verify bank statements and perform bank reconciliation ·         Monitor cash flow ·         Prepare varied monthly financial reports, such as cash flow reports, sales and expenditure reports, a ccounts receivable reports, accounts payable reports etc. ·         Prepare GST returns and PAYE ·         Coordinate with accountants and participate in the preparation of financial statements and the file the annual return to the IRD ·         Ensure financial information and documents are maintained in accordance with the relevant regulations ·         Ensure the financial documents are maintained in compliance with the tax regulations   Pay Rate: minimum $29.66 / hour - maximum $31.61 / hour Guaranteed hours of work per week: minimum 30 hours     Requirements for the job: ·         Minimum three years of relevant work experience. ·         Advanced proficiency in Xero system and Microsoft Excel. ·         Excellent communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude. ·         Willingness to take responsibility and develop a professional accounting career. ·         Candidates must be New Zealand citizens or residents.
