About the job For this role, you would berequired to work on a casual / "if-and-when" / ad-hoc basis andare not guaranteed a set number of hours. You will be providing relief /cover for regular back of house staff as and when needed. We offer $27-$29 per hour, no night work and be basedon-site in either Albany, Whangaparaoa or Silverdale. You would be expectedto be mobile and have the ability to work at any of these locations on anygiven day. About the role You will be flexible, self-driven and experienced in all back of house functions including preparation and cabinet; have a strong focus on delivering exceptionalcustomer service with the ability to work calmly under pressure. You would be required to learn the menu offerings, follow the Columbus recipes and assist in delivering the Chef specialist and daily salads. Interactingwith staff in a professional and positive manner is agiven.
What will you bring? You will have 2+ years previous cookingexperience, preferably in a fast-paced, busy café (please note that this is not a role that offers training as you would be expected to provide cover for existing staff at short notice).You would have experience working in afranchise environment (this is a preference and not a pre-requisite).You would have or be working towards your CookeryLevel 4 Qualification /Culinary Arts (this is a preference and not apre-requisite).You will have a solid understanding ofFCP and H&S requirements.You would have a clear, strongcommunication style with a passion for providing exceptional food andbeverages.You would be prepared to support the back of house team with manning the dishwasher and/ordealing with the trash as required.You would be flexible in youravailability as we are open on public holidays and weekends are ourbusiest trading days.You have the ability to work as-and-whenrequired at any of the 3 cafes mentioned.
