We are currently seeking a Bid Manager to join our Honeywell Building Automation's team in our Ponsonby, Auckland office. Reporting to the Pacific & Rest of Asia P&E Leader, t his is a key position in the Proposals and Estimation (P&E) Organization implemented to maximize customer facing time of front-line resources. This position supports the Pacific Sales organisation and will work closely with Estimators, Account Managers and Business Consultants within selected Districts. This role will be responsible for building up the solution and cost estimate for qualified opportunities. This role Is critical in calculating minimally compliant costs needed to meet published bid specifications or value engineered solutions. The position will also support the team regarding identifying and providing support documentation, including approvals for the booking of such proposals, thus providing increased customer facetime for the District sales force.
Key Responsibilities: Responsible for the performance, planning, estimation, proposal, and resource management, including coordinating the development of solution scope Creates a culture of accountability, supporting the "One Team" model Provide competitive insights from past opportunities and apply lesson learned to the assigned opportunities Leads bid response, system review, competitive comparison, and review accurate estimates and new applications of technology Navigate and manage the formal sales process from opportunity through booking on behalf of the sale professional Ensure all compliance elements, tools, reviews, and approvals have been accomplished Key Experience & Capabilities: Bachelor's Degree or in lieu of Bachelor's degree equivalent Minimum 3- 5 years' relevant experience in Bid Managing role Excellent and demonstrable writer and verbal communications skills with an ability to simplify technical issues Solid working knowledge of the construction and engineering sectors and/or experience in building services Experience working in highly matrixed organization Demonstrated success working effectively in a deadline driven environment Experience in balancing short-term results with long-term strategy Ability to interact and build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders Self-starter and results oriented About Us The world is changing.
