This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious senior lawyer who specialises in commercial litigation or banking and finance law.We are working with a Sydney - based banking and finance law firm who are growing in the Auckland market. The firm if one of Australia's lender specialists acting on the front end and back end of transactions and distressed matters.
Key responsibilities: Provide high-quality legal services specialising in insolvency, recoveries, and commercial litigation;Drafting court documents, attending client meetings, managing files independently, dealing with complex insolvency matters, complying with file management protocols, participating in annual performance reviews, developing individual plans for business opportunities;Manage files independently while liaising with clients, counsel, and other third parties;Deal with large complex insolvency and litigation matters, as well as volume recovery matters;Develop individual plans and actively seek potential new business opportunities.To be successful in this role you may have: Minimum 7 PQE in commercial litigation or insolvency although all applications will be assessed on merit;Strong interpersonal skills to foster strong client relationships;Outstanding commercial acumen and strong advocacy skills;Technically proficient with strong drafting skills;Admitted to practice in New Zealand.The successful candidate will have the chance to contribute significantly to the firm's overall objectives and success, both from a business development and firm-focused perspective.
