It's due to the hard work, skills and insight of our production team—lead by you. Right now, we are looking for personable Bakery Production Manager to share their love of fresh bread with our loyal customers.Bakery Production Manager start their days with an empty bakery but when they leave—it's filled with the artisan bread and delicious treats for the community to enjoy. Candidates with previous experience in baking and customer service are preferred although it is not essential as we offer full trainingWhat Your Day Looks LikeLead and work as part of a small team to bake products from scratch early each morning, following carefully crafted recipesSupervise, train & co-ordinate daily production duties, ensuring recipes are followed and wastage is minimizedOrder weekly ingredients and supplies needed for the daily operation and ensure FIFO is followedAddress customers complaints or concerns and manage incident report forms.Maintain up to date records of stocks, repairs, sales, wastage and any other reporting forms required from time to timeLead and work alongside your team to keep the bakery clean, and contribute to a great customer experienceTrain, develop, manage and lead production staff ensuring the highest quality of product is produced at all times and in a timely mannerSchedule staffing for daily operations making sure productivity targets are achieved consistentlySet and review production schedules to make sure product is out on time to meet customers needs.RequirementsWhy You Were Bread for This You are a positive leader and fast learner with a willingness to learn all operations within the bakeryYou have previous supervisory experience in a bakery or food production environmentYou are a great communicator, problem solver and critical thinkerYou have pride in what COBS offers the communityYou are an early riser who can work independently or as part of a small team.You have an ability to forecast and adjust production level based on a detailed review of business dataYou have a great attitude and good organizational skillsMaintain Health and Safety, Food Safety (HACCP) standards while upholding COBS Bread brand standardsFood safe and Basic First Aid certifications are an assetYou share in a commitment to the success of your team, the bakery, and to your own developmentAble to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlinesAble to multi-task and flexible to work in different stationsYou should be willing to work overnight or early morning shifts, as a COBS Bread baker/production manager starts work between midnight and 4amPrior experience of working at COBS or similar fast paced bakery environment is an assetPhysical RequirementsContinuous standing/walking for all tasksFrequent lifting and carrying up to 22 kgFrequent turning and reachingOccasional pushing, pulling and some forward bendingConstant use of both hands, with frequent wrist rotation and flexing, occasional forceful grippingPerks & What You'll Feel Good AboutThe satisfaction of baking from scratch, and pride in sharing that product with the community.A fun team work environment with flexible hoursOur training program – Continue to develop your baking and leadership skills through our Bronze and Silver baker Development Qualification program.Career advancement opportunities – We have a stake in helping passionate team members grow and have more impact in the business and community.Complimentary products on us every shiftWhile we thank you for your interest, only those selected for interviews will be contacted.
