Our aim is to encourage more organisations to start their journey with us to make Aotearoa and the world more sustainable.Intrigued?We are looking for a lead auditor and multiple auditors to join our dynamic Audit function who are busy ensuring our clients are minimising their carbon footprint and related impacts on the environment. The audits you will be exposed to are extremely diverse and exciting … anything from financial services, to manufacturing, to farms, to food & beverage, and so on - basically every industry! You will work closely with and be supported by your Audit team and wider Toitu whanau. Auditors to conduct audits in line with our Toitu Carbon and Enviromark programmes. We are seeking quick-learning individuals with strong critical thinking and evaluation skills. These roles are customer facing, so professional presentation and excellent communication skills are a must.These roles are flexible, primarily working remotely from home, however we have office space in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch should you feel the need to connect with your amazing colleagues in person. These roles require some local, domestic, and international travel.Experience requirements:Customer-centric, with a sound understanding of client-centred and resolution focused issues management.Tertiary qualification (Bachelor) in a relevant field such as environmental science, engineering, or accounting.Technology audit experience highly desirable.Preferred minimum 1 year auditing experience (internal, external or ISO standards) with an understanding of accounting principles, control procedures, and audit techniques.OR minimum 1 year work experience in coordinating quality systems or other relevant sustainable business practices or assessments.Ability to apply professional scepticism when conducting audit activities.Current full New Zealand driver's license is required to travel domestically to support internal and external clients and participate in other activities of Toitu Envirocare.Excellent time management and organisational skills to be able to conduct multiple audits at any given time, at times under pressure.Work effectively as part of a team; conversely effectively work independently to meet objectives without supervision; operate effectively when dealing with staff, clients, and other stakeholders at all levels of seniority.Apply professional judgement to plan, and progress audits to achieve the best results.Well-presented and professional manner.Have a passion for assisting New Zealand businesses and organisations improve their sustainability and minimise their carbon footprint and related environmental impacts on the environment.Familiarity with sustainability issues for a range of sectors and application of sustainability tools and methods.Excellent computer literacy, experience with MS Office suite, namely, excel, word, and Teams.Experience in fast-growth organisations, able to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of a business to assess and recommend solutions that support business needs.Demonstrated problem solving abilities, requiring judgement and interpretation of established information.High standard of excellence, accuracy and consistency, personal integrity, and accountability.Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to appropriately communicate with multi-level/functional groups.A knowledge of and empathy with Te Reo and Tikanga Maori is desirable.This role is permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week).Why Toitu Envirocare?Toitu Envirocare is New Zealand's leading provider of environmental certification.
