Auckland Class 2 Driver

We are looking for a class 2 Driver to operate our Rear Load Compactor Truck.

Who are you? You are a professional driver with an interest in a driving position, and you recognise that there is more to being a professional than simply holding onto the steering wheel.
You enjoy early morning starts, hold a current Class 2 Licence and have experience driving in suburban areas.
You are honest, trustworthy, willing to learn (training provided), and able to work individually as well as part of a team. You must not be afraid to get out of the vehicle and do some physical work. Holding on to the steering wheel is only one part of this role.
The Role:
- Driving throughout the Auckland region collecting from private household clients.
Skills & Experience:
- Class 2 drivers’ licence
- Previous experience driving a rear loading compactor truck desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
- Sound knowledge of the Auckland area
- Good organisational skills
- Clear communication
- Strong working ethics
- Ability to use your initiative and be pro-active
- Willing to get out of the truck and work.
Key Duties:
- Physically fit due to the fast pace and capable of lifting repetitively.
- Driving a Class 2 compactor truck throughout Auckland
- Collecting garden waste from private household clients (both Wheelie Bins and Garden Bags)
While strength is a large component of this role, stamina is certainly the main attribute we're looking for. Training will be provided. The successful applicant wont be afraid to get out from behind the steering wheel, as driving is only a small component of what you will actually do.
