Job Description Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity We are seeking an Assurance Advisor to provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support to the Manager Risk Office in the development and continuous improvement of the University's assurance programme. This encompasses internal audit, unusual transaction analysis, fraud prevention & detection, whistleblower investigations, conflict of interest, and Audit and Risk Committee reporting. In addition, to support the implementation and management of performance reporting, and ensure alignment with University Strategy.. you will work to continually develop, enhance and embed the University Assurance programme and build capability within the University community through the below activities and more: Internal Audit:  develop and deliver the annual Internal Audit programme in conjunction with independent third-party provider Unusual Transaction Analysis:  design and deliver the non-finance Unusual Transaction Analysis (UTA) programme, and develop and enhance the overall UTA Programme Roadmap Fraud Prevention and Detection:  develop and facilitate the University Fraud Prevention and Detection programme Audit and Risk Committee Reporting :  prepare the relevant Assurance reports for University Audit and Risk Committee, including whistleblowing reporting for University Audit and Risk Committee   This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), 12-month fixed term opportunity.  The remuneration is $80,900 - $86,600 per annum, depending on skills and experience  For more detailed information, please refer to the Position Description . It is essential that you have a relevant tertiary qualification and a finance background.  You will thrive in this role if you understand the tertiary education sector or have research and innovation experience.
