TP has offices in Christchurch, Auckland, Ashburton and Nelson, giving them both a national footprint and a reach into provincial New Zealand that drives much of the country's economy. The firm's unique understanding of the primary sector coupled with its expertise in commercial law sees them advise some of the most reputable businesses and individuals in the world. The Opportunity An excellent opportunity has become available for an Associate Corporate & Commercial Lawyer with at least five years of PQE who is looking to progress their career. Their way of working is highly collaborative, tending to form cross-functional project teams for big files rather than being overly siloed. The role will allow you to work alongside highly respected Commercial Partners, including Andrew Leete and Ellen Sewell, with unmatched mentorship structures in place. Their team as a whole also prides themselves on the excellent levels of support provided by their experienced team of legal executives and assistants to ensure that you can focus your time and add value on more challenging and contentious issues. To be successful, you will have an existing solid grounding in corporate law including areas such as business sales & purchases, joint ventures, limited partnerships, capital raising, shareholder agreements as well as mergers & acquisitions. For the right individual this is a fantastic opportunity to either progress to Senior Associate or for a more senior applicant to see a genuine pathway to Partner.
