About the Firm Fluid Legal Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with Saunders & Co, as we undertake a search for an Associate or Senior Associate to provide leadership to their Ferrymead branch.
Saunders & Co are a full-service Christchurch firm with both a CBD office and three suburban branches where they service a broad range of clients, ranging from private individuals and families through to large companies, statutory bodies and local iwi.
About this role A rare opportunity has become available for an Associate or Senior Associate-level lawyer to take charge of the Ferrymead office, situated in the picturesque seaside suburbs of Christchurch.
Whilst it's essential to have an understanding of and background in conveyancing, beyond that a passion for a range of other legal areas including commercial, relationship property, trust or estates will see you succeed in this role. The ability to bring a client-base or practice with you would be fantastic but this is by no means a dealbreaker.
What sets this role apart from others however is the opportunity to eventually lead the branch and mentor the existing five staff members, as well as setting the tone and culture for the rest of team through your personality and energy.
There will be hands-on mentorship and guidance from incumbent branch leader and partner, Nicola Coombes, ensuring that you are well-equipped for the exciting challenge ahead. Nicola is renowned for her strong links to the local seaside area, with the Ferrymead office assisting a number of community groups and trusts.
Furthermore, you will be the face of the business to the local community, immersing yourself amongst businesses and key stakeholders within the immediate vicinity. Your budget and billables will of course be aligned to these responsibilities, ensuring a well-rounded and balanced role and that you are never overwhelmed.
