The opportunity: Reporting to the Senior Wealth Advisor, the Associate will use their exceptional organization and client service skills to provide confidential and timely administrative and customer-service support to the Advisor team and their clients.
Acting as a resource person for clients, the Associate will lead the timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks relating to managing client accounts and team operations.
Key responsibilities include: Assisting in preparing advisors for client meetings, including preparation of account opening documentation, product research, etc.Account processing (converting RRSP to RRIF, setting up RRIF payments, estates, beneficiary updates, etc.).Processing a variety of transactions (i.e. issuing cheques, deposits, contributions and withdrawals, incoming and outgoing transfers).Taking the lead on team or client projects.Researching industry related information from a variety of sources as requested by the Senior Wealth Advisor.Maintaining client files, ensuring that all documentation and notes are compliant with industry regulations.Acting as a resource person for clients (i.e. generating specialized reports, questions about specific products).Utilizing your in-depth knowledge of products and services to identify new opportunities within the existing client base.Working with the Advisor to develop and distribute client communication and marketing pieces.Regularly reviewing practices to ensure administrative processes are streamlined and administrative tasks being completed and logged for tracking purposes.Keeping abreast of policy and procedure changes within the firm and industry.Committing to rigorous follow up relating to all client transactions to ensure proper processing and minimization of errors.Performing other duties as assigned.The ideal candidate will possess: A minimum of two years' industry experience, preferably with another wealth management firm in an associate role.A degree/diploma in business administration, accounting, finance, or similar field of study.Completion of CSC, CPH and registration (IR or RR) with CIRO is an asset.Strong relationship building skills and an ability to connect with all types of individuals.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detailDemonstrated ability to independently prioritize, meet deadlines, take initiatives and multi-task with minimal supervision.Excellent attitude and commitment to providing extraordinary service.A reliable, consistent work ethic.An ability to adapt quickly to changing needs and work requirements; stay up to date on all processes and procedures.Conditions of employment: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.A background check, satisfactory to the employer, may be required of the successful applicant prior to commencing employment.Wellington-Altus Private Wealth is strongly committed to equity and diversity within its community and welcomes applications from women, racialized persons, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, and persons of all sexual orientations and genders. Range ($40,000.00 - $70,000.00)
The base salary represents Wellington-Altus's starting salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.
Base salary is one component of Wellington-Altus's total compensation package for employees, which may include performance-based incentives, commissions, or discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards. Wellington-Altus also offers health insurance, accident and life insurance, and other unique benefits per location.
