Mo te tunga |About the role Join ourdynamic Integrated Family Health Service (IFHS) team as an Associate ClinicalNurse Manager (ACNM) and play a key role in providing holistic services acrossthe age continuum in the primary care,acute primary care, outpatients and infusions unit setting. The ACNM, workingalongside the Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM), is instrumental in ensuring thesmooth coordination of services, empowering staff to deliver high-qualitypatient care within budget constraints. This position is crucial for achievingexcellence in rural health outcomes and aligns with Te Whatu Ora – Te Tai oPoutini's vision and values.
KeyResponsibilities: Promotea high standard of professional nursing practice that is contemporary andpatient-focused.Interacteffectively with patients, family members, whanau, and health team memberswithin privacy and confidentiality guidelines.Coordinateteam activities and systems to meet patient needs in line with the philosophyof patient-focused care.Effectivelymanage, supervise, and delegate tasks within the health care team.Modelcommitment to the Principles of the Treaty of Waitangi, reducing inequities forMaori.Developself and contribute to service improvement initiatives.Ensureresponsible and fiscally responsible use of resources.Demonstrateexpert knowledge and clinical skills, facilitating ongoing care and contractedservices.Collaboratewith the health team to promote, facilitate, and coordinate multidisciplinarycare.Ensuresafe, legal, effective, and responsive nursing practice.Collaboratewith CNM in developing and implementing standards of care aligned with nursingprofessional standards.Initiateand apply new clinical practices based on research and technical competencies.Understandand practice quality management principles for continuous improvement.AssistCNM in effective management of complaints, incidents, and hazards perorganizational policies.Havea good understanding of Te Whatu Ora – Te Tai o Poutini West Coast's directionand the model of care.Ko wai koe -About You To be successfulin this role it is essential you have the following: Registered with the NewZealand Nursing Council as a Registered General or RegisteredComprehensive Nurse with a current Nursing Council Practising Certificate.Minimum of 2 years ofpost-registration experience.Hold or working towardsa postgraduate diploma in nursing.Sound knowledge of theNursing Council of New Zealand's competencies and associated performanceappraisal processes.Ability to develop andimplement a nursing care delivery system.Excellentinterpersonal, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Strong administrative,organizational, and time management skills.Computer literate withthe ability to expand on those skills.Vision and ability toaccommodate and lead change.Commitment to Te WhatuOra – Te Tai o Poutini West Coast's vision and direction.DesirableQualifications: Experience in amanagement role within a Health Care Organization.Hold or working towarda minimum postgraduate certificate in leadership & management.Hold or working towardDesignated Senior Nursing level on the PDRP. TheWest Coast is a unique environment and like no other in New Zealand where wehave multiple close-knit communities in which your work can make a realdifference.
