Duties and responsibilities will include:Assists Store Manager in responsibility for the storeOversee staff, delegate duties to them and evaluate their performance.Organize staff roster.Train new staff.Order new stock and check if it is in good condition and accurately invoiced.Organize product promotions.Display and stack new stock in shelves and store room.Help customers choose products.Tally cash and closing till at the end of the day.Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales transaction reportsReconcile all Cash/EFTPOS transactions and banking on a daily basis.Setting and adjusting the selling prices of all retail productsNegotiation pricing and purchasing orders with sales representatives.Check all inwards goods and present weekly audit reports to the Director.Understand all product mix and advise products to meet customer requirements.Formulate and implement local marketing.Maintain store cleanliness.Ensure that the store has adequate level of stock.Ensure the store meets all council and government laws and regulations.Manage any conflicts between the staff to ensure store performance.Provide proactive feedback to management about any changes required.Comply with Health, Safety, and Security Environment standards.Maintain First Aid Kit and other safety equipment onsite in the store.Other duties as required.Employment is permanent and for a minimum of 30hrs a weekShifts are between 7am to 9pm Monday to Sunday including public holidays.Experience : One year in retail store or similar work.Pay rate offered is $30 to $32 per hour depending on experience.Applicants must be able to work weekends and public holidaysIf you are interested in applying for this role, please send a cover letter and a detailed CV.Please also detail if you are a New Zealand Citizen, resident, NZ visa holder or based offshore.Deadline for applications is 25/04/2024.
