Your responsibilities will include:Motivate, train, and lead a team of service staff to provide exceptional customer service.Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality service, and adherence to health and safety standards.Maintain a customer-centric focus, addressing customer concerns, and ensuring a positive dining experience for all patrons.Monitor and manage inventory levels, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure proper stock levels for smooth restaurant operations.Assist in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting to contribute to the restaurant's profitability.Create and manage staff schedules, balancing workload and optimising labour costs.Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and promote career growth.Assist with staff recruitment.Support overall business management and strategic planning.Prepare and maintain daily sales reports, cash reconciliation and petty cash.Promote menu items, create specials and undertake the necessary advertising.Qualification, Experience, and Attributes Required:Proven experience of at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant management role within the restaurant industry or a relevant qualification.Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and cost control.Excellent leadership and communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick, informed decisions.Knowledge of health and safety regulations.Excellent food hygiene practices.Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to guest satisfaction.High standard of personal hygiene and presentation.Punctual, organised, and capable of multitasking with attention to detail.Team player with effective communication skills.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Pay & Benefits:Full-time permanent employment.Minimum of 30 hours/week guaranteed.Hourly rate ranges between $27.00 - $30.00.Opportunities for professional growth.Flexible and balanced roster ensuring work-life balance.Friendly and supportive working environment.Application Requirements:If you are a results-oriented, hands-on leader with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences, we invite you to apply for the Assistant Restaurant Manager position at The Blue Door.
