Job Description We are looking for an Assistant Farm Manager/ Farm Manager for the start of Next Season. We are situated in Mokoreta, about 15 minutes drive from Wyndham. We will be milking peak 1000 cows through 64 bail rotary shed with Protrack, ACR's, In-shed feeding and cow manager tags. We are looking for someone who joins us to share our farming values and passion for achieving results through a strong team effort. You would work alongside contract milker to achieve targets and run the daily operation of farm (pasture management knowledge is a must). This position requires someone with proven experience and skills in NZ dairy farming, someone who: • Is honest, reliable, punctual and a team player. • Has NZ dairy farming experience of at least 4 years - 2 Years as a 2ic level on similar scale. • Knows the running of a dairy farm in all aspects and is confident in making decisions on your own. • Good in teaching and passing on knowledge. • Great communication Skills. • Have outstanding attention to detail. • Is calm and patience with other team members and around animals. • Can work and live in an environment that is smoke and drug free. Responsibilities Include: • Be in charge of milking routine and jobs delegations. • Milk quality and dairy shed hygiene. • Excellence in animal health. • Stock handling. • Feed budgeting and Pasture management. • Operates farm equipment and carry out maintenances. • Excellent Effluent Management.
