Your responsibilities will encompass assistant management and leadership to Te Kura Kaupapa Ringa Rehe Hangarau | School of Trades and Technology, and to assist in the provision of management and leadership to across the Hawke's Bay, and Tairawhiti, campuses.

Joining our vibrant learning community at one of New Zealand's premier tertiary institutes, you will take on a full-time permanent position as the Head of School – Business, Tourism & Hospitality, and English Language based at our Hawkes Bay Campus.
Key Responsibilities for the role include: Support the development and implementation of the School of Trades and Technology Annual Plan, achieving performance targets and objectives, as designated. Support the Head of School to monitor and manage income, operational and staffing expenses, and resources following faculty targets. Support the Head of School in association with the Assistant Head of School (A/HoS) and Programme Coordinators, to develop programme delivery plans that are consistent with programme aims, philosophy, curricular approach, policies and procedures. Ensure the School reflects a commitment to high-quality education and service, including liaison with relevant stakeholders.Be responsible for ensuring effective management of programme delivery, internal and external moderation, and evaluation consistent with programme aims, philosophy, curricular approach, contracts, Academic Board, and NZQA.Our Ideal Candidate will have: A relevant qualification (Advanced Trade Certificate or equivalent would be an advantage) or equivalent level of knowledge. Proven experience in leadership and management.Knowledge and experience of curriculum and programme development within undergraduate and postgraduate Computing education frameworks.Knowledge and experience in working with international partners, and in particular the delivery of programmes in China.An understanding of the principles of cultural safety, a commitment to the development of a culturally safe working and learning environment, and a commitment to parity of student success.Applications close at 23rd June 2024 however, we may conduct interviews prior to this date.
