ABOUT THE ROLE: The Assistant Digital Content Creator visual storyteller. Based in our Auckland Production Complex, this role will support the Senior Video Content Producer to tell Rocket Lab's story through videos and photography. This role will conceptualize, produce, shoot and edit engaging video and photos for use on web, social media, webcasts, events/tradeshows, and internal presentations. The Assistant Digital Content Creator will also support the production of Rocket Lab's live launch webcasts.
This is a six-month fixed term role designed to support Rocket Lab's marketing and communications team through an exceptionally busy period across launch and space systems.
This role is based on site in our Mount Wellington, Auckland production complex.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE: At least 2 years' experience in both video and still camera operation, production coordination and post-productionAble to provide links to portfolio and/or previous video and photography workExperience using video and photo editing software (Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Media Encoder)Ability to translate complex technical concepts into strong visual creative tailored to audience needsProven ability to concept, script, produce, and edit compelling and impactful videos from start to finishAbility to collaborate effectively across all areas of the business to ensure content is timely, accurate, on brand and great qualityAbility to juggle multiple projects at once and meet tight deadlinesBasic knowledge of technical production basics for live webcastsStrong organizational skillsWilling to travel and work some weekendsEager to learn new skills and take on new challenges beyond existing experienceCan-do attitudeA keen interest in space exploration and technologyIf the above sounds like you apply now!
