In this role you will work across multiple projects. About the role We are seeking an experienced and specialist worker for a role in the Assembly area, to provide engineering services in the manufacture of new machinery and other equipment. You will contribute to the design and manufacturing process; you will have the ability to interpret drawings and 'think outside the box' to resolve issues. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, where the team will value your input in development and design of new equipment, with a strong focus on quality. Tasks and responsibilities Provide assembly services as required, working from drawings Progress the assembly of machinery in a timely manner Provide machining services utilising workshop equipment Work with pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems Provide feedback on work in progress ideas and suggestions Contribute to the development of equipment Provide support to the Apprentice training & development program Actively promote and support health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace Skills and experience Ideally 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment, however will consider a trainee with some experience Ability to read drawings and interpret the sub-components to the main build An appreciation of manufacturing processes and procedures, ideally with experience in the timber pre-fabrication building and construction industry Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with an innovative, positive attitude Ability to manage time and work to deadlines Great communication and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail, striving for quality Ability to operate in a team or individually Social club – regular social events Free Employee Assistance Program (EAP), access to confidential counselling consultations Annual general medical check up Industry leading organisation If this sounds like you, please apply including a cover letter with your application outlining your training and experience.
