Assembly Operative

Our client, a local Nelson based company, are looking for reliable and switched on assembly operative to join their workshop. They have extensive experience in designing, manufacturing and supplying high quality Pipework solutions for the various markets. They are also starting to enter new markets, meaning workloads are increasing.You will work 8am-5pm for the first 3 months then you will move on to a rota of 6-2/2-10 rotatingDuties:• Assembling plastic piping to various sizes• Following technical drawings and design specifications• Using hand tools such as drills, spanners, screw drivers, air guns etc• Carrying out quality checks regularly• Carrying out light welding on some products• Completing data sheets after completion of finished product ready for inspection and despatch• Keeping your workstation tidy and well organisedThe ideal candidate must:• Be able to understand technical drawings and work from them• Have a switched on attitude towards learning and developing• Be able to use hand and power tools• Have some previous assembly experience
