Nga mohiohio e pa ana ki tenei mahi (About this position) In this role you will provide anadvisory role to the referral and assessment processes for children and youngpeople (ages 0-19) with a probable or recent diagnosis of Autistic SpectrumDisorder (ASD). Your primary function will be to support whanau witheducational resources, advice, a care management plan and facilitating accessto the relevant support services ensuring the best pathway of care isestablished for each child. This is a permanent part-time positionworking 48 hours per fortnight (0.6FTE) located in Nelson or Wairau withdistrict-wide responsibility. We are look for someone who ispassionate, positive and has an appreciation of how Autism impacts tamariki andtheir families / whanau / carers. A sound working knowledge of the NewZealand Autistic Spectrum Disorder Guidelines and relevant New Zealand childdisability sector legislation and standards. You will have an understanding ofEnabling Good Lives principles, work well with a multidisciplinary team andfoster relationships with community networks. You will need be able to workautonomously with effective time management and organisational skills.You will have a relevant tertiaryqualification such as a degree in an Allied Health discipline or level 4certificate or higher in Health and Wellbeing.
