Make a difference to Heritage This full-time role is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to the protection and conservation of New Zealand's historic heritage.Heritage New Zealand welcomes applications from people with knowledge and experience of the statutory archaeological processes under the HNZPTA 2014 and other legislative processes, along with skills and competence in archaeological assessment and investigation and reporting.Experience in the direction or management of archaeological works would be an advantage. You will be working within a multidisciplinary team and required to effectively communicate expert archaeological advice to both internal and external stakeholders including archaeological consultants, property owners, local authorities, developers and whanau / hapu / iwi and professionals in other fields.You will work as part of a supportive, friendly, central city team with archaeologists and other heritage professionals in Auckland and nationwide as professional colleagues.The Mid-Northern area covers the greater Auckland, Thames- Coromandel and Hauraki districts and travel within those areas will be required.A tertiary qualification (MA) and experience in New Zealand archaeology is essential.
