The Aporei (Principal Advisor), Whanau Ora provides technical and analytical leadership across the Whanau Ora work programme. They will provide oversight across a range of complex issues, where the development of new frameworks and approaches may be needed. They will also play a lead role across Whanau Ora operations, including strengthening relationships with Commissioning Agencies, Commissioning Entities and other partners.
Whanau Ora is a culturally grounded, holistic and strengths-based approach to improving the wellbeing of whanau as a group and addressing individual needs within the context of whanau. It puts whanau at the centre of decision-making and supports them to achieve their aspirations.
The Whanau Ora team administers funding appropriated to achieve Whanau Ora outcomes. A devolved model has been adopted, whereby funding is provided to Non-Government commissioning agencies and entities. They then have the autonomy to make funding decisions based on community needs to achieve the Whanau Ora outcomes. It is a unique approach as it enables decisions to be made by those they impact the most.

The midpoint for this position is $132,430. An offer will be determined based on the preferred candidate's skills & experience.
