We work on addressing many of the issues raised in the wai 262 claim and lead the cross-government approach. Given the complexity, we work in a collaborative way that builds off one another's strengths.We work with a range of iwi, hapu, whanau and other Maori to recognise their rights and interests in all we do.As a Principal Advisor, you will be responsible for providing high quality analysis and robust research and advice that impacts on Maori positively and contributes to Thriving Whanau. You will produce and influence the development of innovative, cutting-edge policy and you will work collaboratively with your colleagues within Te Puni Kokiri and across government, as well as with Maori and key stakeholders.We are looking for a Principal Advisor who can bring:Analytical and problem-solving skillsA Te Ao Maori perspective and the ability to work with and apply Maori frameworks to their policy workStrong written and communication skillsThe ability to work with a range of stakeholders both internally and externallyUnderstanding of the machinery of government and Te Tiriti o Waitangi/ Treaty of Waitangi.The appointment range for this role is between $110k - $136k per annum and the salary will be determined based on the successful candidate's skills and experience.Ko wai koe | About youWe are looking for talented people who have a diverse set of skills, experiences and perspectives.
