The Policy Partnerships Puni provides advice to the Government and government agencies on strategic policy issues and evidence-based approaches to improve Maori wellbeing and further Maori development.The Puni's core value propositions include:leading across the public sector to understand and prioritise Maori issues, needs and opportunities impacting on wellbeing and developmentproviding credible, evidence-based advice that is anchored in the cultural context of Maoridesigning, applying and advising on Te Ao Maori and Te Tiriti-based frameworks for policylinking the voice of Maori whanau into policy proposals and solution design.We are looking for a Principal Advisor to lead work focused on delivering the Government's priorities for Maori language. This will involve working closely with the Government's partner for te reo Maori revitalisation under Te Ture mo Te Reo Maori 2016, Te Matawai, along with other agencies and entities with responsibilities in this area.The appointment range for this role is between $110k - $136k per annum and the salary will be determined based on the successful candidate's skills and experience.Ko wai koe | About youWe are seeking someone with a high level of experience with policy development and government processes. You will have the ability to build, maintain and enhance strategic relationships within Te Puni Kokiri, and externally with other agencies and entities.
