Position Overview As Trimble's APAC Accounting Senior Manager, you will lead accounting functions and support a team of 3-5 individuals. Reporting to and directly supporting the APAC Finance Director, you will also lead various APAC and Global Corporate Finance projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and managing processes to ensure that internal controls are in place. You will manage, delegate, and review tasks related to processing accounting transactions, compiling and analyzing financial reports, providing audit support, and various ad hoc analyses.
This position will have exposure to all aspects of the accounting cycle. We are looking for someone who is a people leader, but also a team player who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves. You will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and processes, internal controls, and financial analysis tools and techniques.
What You Will Do You will lead a locally-based and regionally-focused finance team, covering all aspects of accounting functions, along with project execution, process improvements, upskilling your team, coordinating audits, compliance reviews, and completing reporting, Stats surveys, and the like.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead, support and develop a team of accounting administrators and professional accountants
Manage all aspects of the full cycle accounting function
Facilitate the accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes for multiple entities within the Asia Pacific (APAC) group
Review working papers and balance sheet reconciliations from direct reports
Set the annual budget for NZ Finance, and partner with APAC leaders to set other service center annual budgets
Review and approve vendor invoices
Oversee the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking, Lease Accounting and Fixed Asset functions
Identify and implement process improvements
Lead annual financial audits for APAC entities
Ensure APAC entities are compliant with Corporate Accounting Policies and Internal Controls
Lead and/or participate in Global Corporate Accounting and Digital Transformation Projects
Coordinate the completion of Corporate Accounting processes ie. Lease Accounting
Analysis of financial information .
What Skills & Experience You Should Bring Desire and strong ability to teach and lead a team
Ability and passion to drive continuous improvement
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
Efficient to effectively meet tight deadlines
Ability to analyse data and present conclusions/recommendations to others.
Qualifications / Experience Qualified CA
10+ years experience in commercial accounting
5+ years of leadership experience
Experience with Oracle ERP system is an asset
Knowledge of U.S. GAAP is an asset.
