Our Auckland Deal Advisory team have a number of opportunities in the pipeline and are looking for an Analyst/Senior Analyst (depending on relevant experience) to join our Corporate Finance (Valuations & Financial Modelling) team. You will have the opportunity to apply your analytical skills and business awareness to deliver commercially focused solutions on a wide range of valuation, financial modelling and other corporate finance projects. You will have access to extensive on-the-job training and coaching.
This opportunity will allow you to join a fun and collaborative team of experts where your role will include a variety of activities
Day to day you will:
Prepare written valuation reports and advice
Build and review financial models
Conduct valuations and industry research, applying an awareness and understanding of market trends, and the general business and economic environments
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and clients
Participate in business development initiatives
What you'll bring to our team:
At least 2 years of relevant professional services experience
CA qualification desirable but not required; you will have the opportunity to pursue the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification should you wish
Excellent academic record in a relevant discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance or Economics)
Strong written, communication and analytical/Excel skills
High attention to detail
Ability to work independently but also able to collaborate effectively with your team
A high level of self-motivation, energy and drive
An interest in understanding drivers of business value and financial markets
