What you'll do:
As an Analyst in Financial Planning and Analysis, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the finance team's capability. You will drive improvements in budgeting and forecasting, financial modelling and analysis, regulatory pricing/disclosures, treasury management, insurance, and financial reporting. Your expertise will be crucial in leading the annual budgeting process, preparing quarterly forecast updates, assisting with business case preparation and analysis, among other responsibilities. This role offers a unique blend of strategic planning and hands-on involvement in financial operations.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare quarterly forecast updates
• Act as an in-house expert for the company's budgeting system
• Assist with maintaining and updating the company's Enterprise Model
• Undertake scenario/sensitivity analysis to support decision-making
• Lead the preparation of Annual Information Disclosures under the Commerce Act
• Manage cashflow forecasting and bank account management
• Assist with the annual renewal of insurance policies and manage routine insurance claims
• Contribute to the preparation of half-year and year-end financial statements
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Analyst position brings a wealth of experience from professional services or a commercial finance team. With your CA (or equivalent) qualification, you have demonstrated your ability to understand and use complex financial models. Your proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, coupled with your high level of accuracy and attention to detail, will enable you to excel in this role. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will be key in liaising with various stakeholders.
