We are looking for experienced Cardiac Anaesthetic Technicians/Assistants who are looking to relocate and have been thinking about their new home being here in the mighty Waikato.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of airway management is essential especially airways specific for cardiothoracic surgery (one lung ventilation/standard ventilation) as well as advanced airway management such as video laryngoscopy and bronchoscopy. While the role will sit in the Cardiac Roster you will also be required to work in all our other specialities that we have here at Te Whatu Ora Waikato – you definitely won't be bored!
Te whiwhinga mahi| The Opportunity Experienced in airway management is essential as well as working in a large, busy hospital.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Be responsible for assisting in and delivery and evaluation of safe and appropriate centred care within the delivery of anaesthesia to a patient Provide a professional manner, skilled, clinical and technical assistance to the anaesthetist Work part of the theatre team in providing maximum quality care to patients undergoing anaesthesia. Recent pay equity being implemented which has recognised the value that Anaesthetic Technicians have in theatre Skills and experience you'll need to be considered for the role:
Extensive knowledge and understanding of airway management At least 3 years working as an Anaesthetic Technician (private or public) Have experience in working with various patient monitoring machines Able to work rostered shifts (Days, PMs, weekends and nights) Be registered or have the ability to register with Medical Science Council NZ including a current APC (make sure to check with them to see if you are eligible) What does Te Whatu Ora, Waikato offer you?
