ADB Safegate New Zealand are looking for an experienced full time Site Manager to join our team and be based at Auckland Airport. Although based at Auckland Airport, ADB Safegate hold service and construction contracts at airports across the country, as well as major projects in Australia, and applicants should consider the need for both short- and long-term travel in their future with us. Flights, accommodation, vehicles, and fuel are all provided, as well as a daily allowance if you are required to work on one of our many airfield sites across the ANZ region. The role will be accountable for the effective development, establishment, implementation and day to day management of the administration and general support function for ADB Safegate Projects. You will be required to work collaboratively with our site management teams which include project engineers, project and safety managers, and site supervisors. Having airfield lighting experience is advantageous but not mandatory. For those who have not worked on an airfield before, our Team is ready to provide support and training on the specific project and company procedures, policies, and installation practices. *The Role* • All contractual matters, correspondence, and construction activities on site. • Reports to management regarding progress and construction details. • Control, maintenance, and distribution of all project documentation on site. • Appointment of subcontractors and procurement of services and materials. • Ensuring subcontractors on site meet the required OHS and EPA standards. • Assists in the preparation of OHS and Project Plans. • Monitoring of regulatory matters as per OH&S. • Ensures sites are maintained in good condition during and until completion of the project. • Assists in the induction of new field staff and subcontractors. • Identifying staff training needs and ensure trained personnel are in place in their respective fields. • Ensure all Hold Points are appropriately signed off. • Verifies completion of dispositions of nonconformances, release of conforming products for their intended use. • Ensures that testing and verification of completed work is carried out and records maintained. • Monitor the calibration, testing and servicing requirements of all equipment on site. • Always ensures safe work practices, including those of subcontractors on site. • Ensures all contract and in progress project documentation is management and archived as required. *You will bring* • 3-5 years' experience within a similar role in the aviation industry. • Engineering or Trade Qualification. • Experience in Airfield lighting or Aviation in general would be an added advantage. • Strong conceptual and analytical skills with a demonstrated capacity to find solutions to problems. • MS Office proficient including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Visio. • Ability to communicate well with both internal and external stakeholders. • Great team player and ability to operate autonomously. • Committed to meeting deadlines. • Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work. • Understanding of and capability to manage compliance and regulatory requirements. • Sound knowledge of the industry. • Business skills including human resources, financial and planning skills. • A willingness for domestic and international travel as and when required, for training, project, or maintenance purposes *You will get* Our people are the core pillar of our success.
