About you | Mohou ake The Electoral Commision is looking for an International Advisor to join the team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be supporting the provision of electoral assistance programmes to international election bodies and working closely with The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT). To excel in this role, you will ideally have previous experience in budget management, project support and display a high level of professionalism and cultural awareness.
What you'll be doing | He aha tau e mahi ana Assist with the delivery of electoral assistance programmes and knowledge exchange programmes (KEP)Prepare KEP programmes and organise for KEP participants attendance at Commission activitiesMonitoring, evaluating and drafting programme reports on deliverables achieved including work plan variances at the intervals specified in the MoUsProviding support services for the team of Technical AdvisorsGeneral liaison with MFAT on day-to-day mattersSet-up and maintain programme administration processes and systemsProcuring supplies for other electoral agencies and arranging for their delivery off-shoreCalculating, processing and tracking financial expenditure for the various programmesSupervise day-to-day activities of International Support staffWhat you'll need to succeed | Ko nga mea ka hiahiatia e koe kia angitu Have strong budget management and project support experience supporting a fast-paced team with continually changing demandsBe able to organise and plan well to juggle competing demands and tight deadlinesHave good computer skills in MS packages, particularly MS ExcelBe able to administer financial records and international deployment arrangementsHave accurate and efficient record keeping skills, with attention to detailHave strong verbal and written communication skillsBe a successful team leaderAbout the Electoral Commission | Te Kaitiaki Take Kowhiri The Electoral Commission wants every New Zealander to trust, value and take part in parliamentary elections.
