About the role the Advisor Ministerial Services works as part of a small collaborative team focused on ensuring the timeliness and quality of official information requests, Ministerial correspondence and written parliamentary questions are met. This is an opportunity to be a key member of one of the busiest Ministerial Services teams in Wellington. Key accountabilities manages official correspondence and other information between Police National Headquarters, Parliament, Police districts and members of the public. Oversees preparation of written parliamentary questions and manages Executive approval process. Triages, assigns and manages approval process for official information requests. Ensures Ministerial and official correspondence is regularly reviewed for quality, consistency, timeliness and appropriateness to audience. Drafts appropriate and strategically sound responses to correspondence and questions for Executive approval and release. Prepares advice for the Office of the Ombudsman requests and reports. Manages Police's Information Request Tool for the up-to-date recording and monitoring of official correspondence and other information.
