This role will plan and lead the implementation of programmes aligned with Council outcomes for older persons, those with disability, youth, the child's voice, and our ethnic communities. You will also provide advice to council officers on engagement strategies for relevant advisory groups as well as lead and support the delivery of relevant Community programmes.

Skills and Experience A tertiary qualification in a relevant area of expertise (e.g. social, economic, or environmental).5+ years relevant experience in a similar role.Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to customer service and willingness to and capability for working with a wide range of people within and outside the organization.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective professional working relationships with all key stakeholders, including with other council staff members based on a collaborative, collegial and cooperative working style.Effective time management skills and ability to work effectively without supervision and collaboratively as an effective team member.Demonstrated expertise in project management – both methodology and practical aspects.Holder of a current and valid NZ Drivers' licenceBeautiful beaches and a short journey to or from Wellington make the Kapiti Coast a great place to live and work.
