Acute Associate Charge Nurse Manager - Operating Theatre Nau mai, haere mai ki Te Whatu Ora – Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley District Location : Wellington Regional Hospital Service : Operating Theatre Contract : Permanent, Part-Time (0.6 FTE) The Acute ACNM is part of the senior nursing team providing clinical leadership, quality improvement and support to the acute team. The ACNM will be able to work in a challenging and demanding environment, manage competing demands, maintain composure in times of pressure, and maintain effective engagement strategies. The successful candidate will have highly developed communication skills with a positive and flexible approach and the willingness to tackle the hard stuff. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to service design plus implement innovative supports that enhance current and future service delivery. There is a strong team focus in Theatre and our nursing staff work together and closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide a person/whanau centred approach. The benefits of a team nursing model are considerable, but include improved communication and coordination of care, enhanced support and teaching of clinical decision-making skills, increased patient care and satisfaction, and improved staff satisfaction and retention.
